Those wishing to stay in Nizwa itself are sadly not blessed with a wide range of hotels. The Falaj Daris however, is one of the better options and has the merit of being comfortable, well-located and having some character. It’s been around for many years and the shady area around the pool has always been popular with locals and expats alike. The rooms are a reasonable size and comfortably furnished, whilst the restaurant provides its own take on local and regional cuisine. If the hotels in the mountains don’t appeal then the Falaj Daris is where we’d suggest you stay.
